KIDS GARDEN CLUB
Pollinators and compost and kale, oh my!
You and your child are invited to join Poppy Innovations’ Kids Garden Club this summer to learn all about gardening! We’ll meet 10 times over the course of the summer to plant, maintain, and harvest our garden. During the program, you and your child will explore topics on soil and compost, plant science, nutrition and cooking through crafts, games and hands-on gardening and cooking.
Poppy Innovations’ is offering the Cre*Ate Kids Garden Club at the Parkdale Community Garden. This summer program is open for kids aged 4 to 8 and their parents to get their hands dirty this summer. Learning how to sow, grow, harvest and prepare food will help kids develop gardening and cooking skills and empower them to make healthy food choices throughout their lives and inspire children’s natural curiosity to try new vegetables and fruit. Each week, children and their parents will learn new gardening knowledge, food skills to prepare a recipe using ingredients they have grown themselves and various activities to learn about the food system and where our food comes from.
COST: FULL program $160 for all 10 sessions per child & their parent. Maximum of 10 spots available.
